You’ll be a key member of the procurement team and have the opportunity to work with multiple departments in a fun, hard-working, and collaborative work environment.

The Receiving Coordinator performs a variety of receiving and inventory control tasks, from verifying materials received are as ordered and routing incoming items to appropriate departments/locations to maintaining inventoried supplies and communicating low inventory to purchaser.

Responsibilities of the Receiving Coordinator:

  • Receiving and unloading incoming materials and comparing information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment
  • Managing and stocking consumables throughout the labs
  • Sorting, counting, unpacking, and logging inventory
  • Processing returns/replacements for damaged inaccurate items
  • Delivering items to requisitioning departments
  • Maintaining department database and filing receiving records
  • Maintaining and tracking inventoried items
  • Operating dolly and pallet jack in unloading supplies and equipment
  • Operating a forklift (certified forklift operator preferred - will train if needed)
  • Maintaining the shipping/receiving area in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Discarding of cardboard and styrofoam boxes in recycling and trash cans
  • Heavy lifting, up to 45 lbs manually
  • Receiving and stocking hazardous chemicals and liquids
  • Occasionally ascending/descending from a ladder to stock and retreive supplies
  • Shipping miscellaneous items as required
  • All others tasks requested

Requirements

If you...

  • Are hard-working
  • Have the ability to maintain quality and safety control standards
  • Are detailed-oriented
  • Are experienced in receiving, tracking, stocking, and distributing materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Can lift and manipulate heavy objects (the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required for this position)
  • Have experience operating a pallet jack and various dollies (forklift certification is a plus!)
  • Have at least 2 years receiving experience

In this position, you will apply your expertise to act as a conduit/bridge between the customer, internal experts and production facility to ensure that customer projects are delivered to meet (and exceed!) expectations and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Track and update project timelines
  • Manage shipments, deliverables and documentation
  • Record meeting minutes and distribute internally and to clients
  • Making sure projects are flowing through the lab on the timeline promised to the customer
  • Communicating issues with projects to the lead PM's
  • Provide daily and weekly updates to lead PM's of the projects in the lab
  • Coordinate with all necessary resources for flawless execution of all managed projects
  • Work with internal team to continuously improve project flow and performance
  • Create and maintain project documentation

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in the field of life sciences, plus 1-2 years of life science industry experience that includes successfully managing interdepartmental or customer projects. Scientific training or experience must ideally include:

  • Wet lab experience (cell line development preferred)
  • Has experience managing projects

The ideal candidate has a background in Biology/Life Sciences, is eager to learn, help, takes initiative, and is detail-oriented.
