Core Focus
The successful candidate will increase our market presence and brand awareness within their specified geography.  This will be accomplished through the management and support of our existing accounts to ensure customer success through direct client relationship management as well as internal client advocacy. The position is also directly accountable for prospecting, building, and nurturing new customers and transitioning them to long term relationships, primarily in Biologics based therapeutics.

Our entire customer support team (including Business Development, Technical Leads and Operations) work closely together and rely heavily on deep technical understanding to support our new and existing customers so that we can efficiently address their scientific needs and craft innovative and efficient solutions to our customers problems. This team-oriented process requires a proactive Business Development professional function to connect and build strong relationships with our clients by utilizing a deep understanding of the fundamental scientific principles and processes involved.

Qualifications/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and or business development within the biotech industry, preferably in protein sciences and/or service organizations
  • Preferred MS or PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Protein Chemistry, or closely related field

Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist will play a critical, hands-on role in developing and executing marketing programs to promote ATUM’s innovative products and services, including gene synthesis, protein engineering, antibody development, and cell line development solutions. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, we’re looking for a team member who can creatively think outside the box of ways to increase brand awareness and support the team goals, as well as being detail oriented and proactive in executing on tradeshows, events, and other outbound marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign & Content Development

  • Events Planning and Execution: As part of ATUM’s outbound marketing activities you will own all elements of our conference and tradeshow calendar. This includes knowledge of tradeshow exhibition requirements and logistics, and a proactive approach to our key physical events.
  • Digital Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel demand generation campaigns e.g., email marketing, paid search/SEM, social media, and digital advertising.
  • Lead Nurturing: Develop and manage email marketing programs and workflows to nurture leads through the sales funnel, utilizing marketing automation tools e.g., HubSpot.
  • Scientific Content Creation: support Marketing management to create compelling and scientifically accurate marketing materials. This includes website copy, blog posts, white papers, application notes, case studies, technical brochures, and presentations.

Brand & Sales Enablement

  • Web Management: Manage day-to-day updates for the company website (atum.bio), ensuring content is current, SEO-optimized, and reflects current strategic priorities.
  • Product Launches: Support the go-to-market strategy and execution for new product and service launches, including positioning, messaging, and asset creation.
  • Sales Collateral: support Marketing management to create high-impact sales tools, presentations, and training materials that equip the technical sales team to clearly articulate ATUM’s competitive advantage.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Performance Metrics: Monitor, track, and analyze key marketing campaign performance metrics (KPIs) and website analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimization e.g., using Google Analytics, HubSpot.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing tradeshows and scientific events.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a marketing role within the biotech, life sciences, reagents, or tools industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology), Marketing, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Digital Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including marketing automation, CRM (e.g., HubSpot), and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Scientific Literacy: Proven ability to understand and effectively market complex scientific concepts, especially in areas like gene synthesis, protein engineering, molecular biology, or cell line development.
  • Familiarity with graphics programs such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Associate Scientist to join our Cell Line Development (CLD) Department. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge and proficiency in cell line development workflows. The candidate will have experience in executing experiments in collaboration with other scientists, analyzing complex datasets, and resolving challenges in advanced assay workflows. This position requires expertise in operating cell line development instrumentation, as well as the ability to train team members and support laboratory operations. Strong time management and collaboration abilities are critical, as this role involves juggling multiple lab responsibilities while delivering high-quality results and meeting production deadlines.

    The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence to successfully completing client projects and adhering to deliverable deadlines. This position also involves lab housekeeping, and collaboration with other team members to enhance overall lab performance.

Key Responsibilities

Cell Line Development & Workflow Execution

  • Apply a high level of knowledge in cell line development principles to execute and optimize production workflows.
  • Independently execute production tasks in compliance with established procedures for the Cloning and Stability CLD workflow in LIMS, including:
    • Thaw and expansion of pool or clones
    • Single cell cloning
    • Stability studies
    • Cell Banking process
  • Assist the manager with lab-to-lab handover samples to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Fluent in LIMS user interface for executing work and reviewing data.
  • Perform weekly and monthly maintenance on Vi-cells to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including Vi-cell, incubators, liquid handlers, VIPS, and Cell Metrics.
  • Ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
  • Track quality metrics for assigned processes, compile reports, and communicate results to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

Overview

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to design, deploy, and scale automated laboratory platforms that enable high throughput biology across R&D and manufacturing. This role owns the translation of biological processes into robust, automated workflows using liquid handling robots and integrated systems. The Automation Engineer will partner closely with scientists, data teams, and manufacturing to deliver reliable, production ready automation that increases throughput, data quality, and reproducibility.

This is a hands on, lab-based engineering role focused on building systems, not running manual experiments.

Core Responsibilities
Automation Platform Ownership

  • Design and implement automated workflows for liquid handling, cell culture, protein expression, and purification.
  • Program, validate, and maintain liquid handling platforms such as Biomek, LYNX, or equivalent systems.
  • Integrate robotics with peripheral devices including incubators, plate readers, centrifuges, and chromatography systems.

Process Automation and Scale

  • Translate manual biological protocols into scalable, high throughput automated processes.
  • Optimize workflows using DOE and data driven approaches to improve throughput, robustness, and cost.
  • Ensure automated methods are reliable, reproducible, and suitable for tech transfer into manufacturing or pilot scale environments.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with scientists and manufacturing team to define automation requirements and success criteria.
  • Work with manufacturing, quality, and facilities teams to support deployment in controlled environments.
  • Serve as the technical owner for automated systems throughout their lifecycle.

Documentation and Reliability

  • Author SOPs, validation documentation, and technical reports for automated workflows.

Required Qualifications
Education
