Core Focus
The successful candidate will increase our market presence and brand awareness within their specified geography. This will be accomplished through the management and support of our existing accounts to ensure customer success through direct client relationship management as well as internal client advocacy. The position is also directly accountable for prospecting, building, and nurturing new customers and transitioning them to long term relationships, primarily in Biologics based therapeutics.
Our entire customer support team (including Business Development, Technical Leads and Operations) work closely together and rely heavily on deep technical understanding to support our new and existing customers so that we can efficiently address their scientific needs and craft innovative and efficient solutions to our customers problems. This team-oriented process requires a proactive Business Development professional function to connect and build strong relationships with our clients by utilizing a deep understanding of the fundamental scientific principles and processes involved.

Qualifications/Experience
- 5+ years of experience in sales and or business development within the biotech industry, preferably in protein sciences and/or service organizations
- Preferred MS or PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Protein Chemistry, or closely related field
- Background in Cell Line Development and/or Protein Engineering preferred.

Senior Financial Analyst:
About You
You are an exceptional Financial Analyst with excellent analytical and advanced financial modeling skills. You possess deep experience in supporting financial planning, financial analysis, and management reporting, underpinned by strong business acumen and solid knowledge of corporate finance concepts. You think strategically and are driven to create scalable, insightful financial models, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs). You are highly collaborative across functions and communicate effectively throughout the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Develop and execute the multi-year strategic and annual budget planning process.
- Drive the work of the finance team to develop a comprehensive multi-year financial projection and the 2026 budget (P&L, B/S, and Cash Flow statements) with details on revenue, growth drivers, and cost of sales by product line families.
- Provide monthly budgetary controls and detailed variance analysis.
- Develop and implement a quarterly forecast model, focusing on revenue analysis, gross margin, inventory levels, and cash forecasting.
- Implement rolling forecasts (12+0, 3+9, 6+6, 9+3) and a process to identify and address deviations versus plan (Business Outlook).
- Identify and communicate P&L gaps and opportunities, and collaborate with the leadership team on corrective action plans.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reporting for Board of Directors presentations.
Business Finance Support and Analytics
- Design, maintain, and publish management financial and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting used by the senior management team to drive results.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the decision-making process on key sales deals, manufacturing cost reduction initiatives, or new product development projects.
- Ensure that a comprehensive financial model is developed, with an extension to more accurately reflect the profitability of the product lines, with potential historical restatements. Restatements may require working with the accounting team if a change is made in Acumatica (and for audit purposes).
- Develop and Implement Revenue Analytics (Top Line P&L Performance):
- Revenue by customer
- Customer revenue trends/visibility
- Month over Month / Quarter over quarter / YoY performance
- Analytics on sell-through / upsell of capabilities
- Sales funnel review and development of a forecast tool that links revenue projections to the sales funnel with a clear view of revenue data by customer (along with sales funnel/pipeline by customer) over time to help guide commercial/sales strategy.
- Assist in Developing and Implementing COGS Analytics (Gross Margin Performance):
- Margin by service
- Labor and absorption analysis
- Identification of levers for operational and cost efficiencies
- Develop and Implement Project Costing and Cross Charges: as needed for visibility and accuracy of the profitability by customer service contracts, profitability by product line and product family, and understanding of where the R&D money is spent.
- Develop and Implement SG&A Analytics (Operating Expenses Optimization):
- SG&A benchmarking
- Detailed analysis of the G&A cost drivers for proposal to optimize structure and level of spending.
- Recommendation of cost savings to optimize the business for growth and profitability.
Systems Implementation and Accounting Support
- Contribute to the design and implementation of an ERP system to integrate accounting and reporting of business transactions.
- Lead the implementation of the planning and reporting application.
- Drive the implementation of the missing modules of Acumatica (inventory management, procurement, invoice generation vs LIMS or with LIMS).
- Provide financial support to the accounting team, contributing to the generation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
Experience and Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A or business finance experience, experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proven analytical and advanced financial modeling skills.
- Solid understanding of ERP systems/system flows (both implementation and day-to-day usage).
- Experience working in start-ups is a plus.
Education

Senior Director of Program Management
ATUM is a leader in cell line development, gene synthesis, and protein engineering. We are seeking a strategic Director of Program Management to spearhead our customer-facing project portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on bridging the gap between complex scientific execution and world-class client service. The Director will lead and mentor a high-performing team of Project Managers and act as a critical partner for our executive-level clients to ensure every project exceeds rigorous scientific and commercial standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Portfolio Management: oversee a full suite of services—from gene synthesis to protein design to cell line development—to ensure alignment with corporate revenue and growth objectives.
- Operational Leadership: establish and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and project management frameworks to improve efficiency and maintain customer service standards.
- People Management & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Project Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and scientific excellence.
- High-Level Risk Mitigation: identify systemic bottlenecks across projects (e.g., resource shortages, deviations from expected results) and implement enterprise-level solutions.

This entry-level position is within our production group. The work includes following standard operating procedures for using automated liquid handling stations, interfacing with our in-house database, providing support in various lab functions, and interacting with our bioinformatics department.
Job Functions:
- Scale up of bacterial cell culture

- Work with automated liquid handlers
- Seal/unseal plates for loading/unloading on automated carousels

ATUM is a leading bioengineering solution provider transforming discovery science into a rigorous engineering discipline. We are seeking an experienced Upstream Bioprocess Associate Scientist to join our Bioproduction unit. This is a pivotal role where you will execute bioreactor scale-up processes, supporting the journey from synthetic gene design to large-scale protein production. While we utilize high-throughput systems, this role focuses heavily on the engineering and execution of larger-scale production runs.
Key Responsibilities
- Bioreactor Operations: Lead the setup, inoculation, and maintenance of suspension culture bioreactors (ranging from 3L to 50L).
- Process Engineering: Monitor and optimize critical parameters including pH, DO, mass flow settings, and agitation strategies to ensure successful scale-up.
- Seed Train & Maintenance: Perform seed train operations within a BSC and manage media preparation, probe calibrations, and glassware sterilization.
- Harvest & Analytics: Execute harvest operations and end-of-run tasks; operate and maintain analytical suite (e.g., Vi-CELL, NovaFlex2).
- Collaboration: Partner with the Scientist team to troubleshoot runs and translate bench-scale successes into robust production protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: BS/MS in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or a related field (1–3 years of industry experience required).
- Bioprocess Expertise: Proven track record in upstream process development and experience with larger-scale glass or disposable bioreactors.
- Preferred Systems: Experience with ambr®15 and ambr®250 systems is not required but is highly desired.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous record-keeping and a high standard for lab documentation.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a “team-first” mindset and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
